“I portray still life, places, people, everything that in a certain way , touches my heart.
Frequently , I turn my view to my inner universe, from which I draw my inspiration to transmit feelings and emotions that words cannot express.
Since childhood I have been interested in portraits, for the possibility that they offer in revealing the inner wealth of the human being.”

“ The great inspiration of the artist is in daily scenes, in the simple facts of life, such as the contemplation of flowers or a landscape. The challenge is to give these elements a personal view, distinguished, rich in inner knowledge, the one that blends thoughts and emotions to the critic contemplation of exterior reality.”

Oscar D’Ambrosio, Art Critic , member of the International Association of Art Critics ( AICA-Brazil Section )

Portraits have always instigated Cristina.
When she was a teenager she used to draw portraits of her friends from small black and white pictures such as 3x4 cm , without  technical experience, in simple paper and school pencil.

“In portrait works , I use pictures as a reference and search to capture the expression of the person I am portraying.
It is a work that requires time and dedication, but which reveals to be fascinating at each portrait.
Throughout the development of each portrait, it is interesting how it develops a feeling of straight relationship with the person being portraited.”
